SL 206 | Jaral – Guía de Isora

  • Distance: 3,45km
  • Difficulty: Low
  • Duration: 1.5 h
  • Beginning: Santiago Apóstol Street, El Jaral
  • End: Los Chorros Street, next to the church of Guía de Isora

The route will begin at the center of El Jaral, from Santiago Apostol Street, and then we will take the road to the left, getting to a small cu-de-sac leading us to a path that goes down to a small tributary valley of Barranco Rodrigo. In this course, we take a small path to the left, which goes through Maderos, towards Barranco Rodrigo, and go down a path parallel to it. Taking a view of the ravine, we can see the dump and rails associated to the gallery Fuentes de Ramallo. We follow the path that descends, turning off slightly to the left until getting to a culvert that goes through. Then we can see how an old road with low wall descends, where plots are heavily invaded by rockroses (Cistus monspeliensis).
The we continue down the street by an easier-to-walk path to approach the TF-82 (curve of Barranco de Rodrigo), where we take the road of La Vegueta, which ascends through the north slope of the ravine to connect with a road called Barranco Street. At this point, we continue climbing to connect it with the PR-TF 70 Guia de Isora- Tagara- Boca Tauce, which will take us to the historic centre of Guia de Isora.
